Right. While I was busy leaving every child behind, I'm sure other people were actually working for a living. Thank God I work in a job where I draw an unreasonably high salary for doing nothing!
I only had to wait about 2 minutes at 8:30 this morning. I see these stories of long lines and voter intimidation and I think, WTF? Voting is uneventful to the point of being boring for me!
Indeed. My friend Christine the Attorney is monitoring a polling place in Detroit and she says it's quieter than it was in 2004. I assume the excitement is probably happening more in states that are more hotly contested.
Hrm, I didn't factor the McCain pull-out into my assessment. Some of the craziness might decrease because every figures Obama has won the state. Sad... there are many other elections out there that just as important (if not more important) than president right now.
the Obamabots were off having their afternoon nappy time. They'll return to throw rocks at all the good, white, Christian, "real" Americans who actually work for incomes they don't want none of their redistributed.
My precinct is the student-heavy 'hood that has such low turnout we don't even get our own polling place. Apparently there was almost an hour wait at one point this morning.
Last time I was voter 40-something at noon; this year I went at 10:30 and was voter 200-something. So I'd say that's good.
