Jul. 12th, 2007 10:27 amFlight diverted over passenger scare
The scare came on the heels of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff's comment earlier this week that he had a "gut feeling" the United States faced a heightened risk of attack this summer.
Oh dear..."a gut feeling"...they're not even trying anymore, are they?
A new threat assessment from U.S. counterterrorism analysts said al-Qaida had restored its operating capabilities to a level unseen since shortly before the 2001 attacks.
After all the fear and death of the last 5 years, not to mention all those blank checks we've so kindly written to the good folks at Halliburton etc., we may be back to square one and "gut feelings". Why is Chertoff still employed?
