I mean I can believe it, he was old and seemed himself to be bewildered that he was still alive. But I can't believe it. He was like the last person in the universe that seemed truly sane.
"My father, like Hemingway, was a gun nut and was very unhappy late in life. But he was proud of not committing suicide. And I'll do the same, so as not to set a bad example for my children." - I guess he made it :-P
