This has been like totally my favorite song for a few weeks now -

See those keys seeming to depress of their own volition? He's playing those ones with his mind. He's that good.

I need to go to a real organ recital sometime soon. The low notes here sound like "whooom", in person on a good organ they shake your damn brain half loose from your head and make your ears bleed.

How crazy is this? Yesterday, I cataloged a manuscript of Charles-Marie Widor. I'd never heard of this composer and I was trying to hum the piece to myself to see what it sounded like. I had the Symphonie 2 from his collected Organ Symphonies.

Too bad I don't live nearer, as I've recently become enamored with organ music and would love to attend an organ concert. If you go, record it bootleg style and send me a copy, k?

Too crazy! I love Widor. I don't know the #2 though. The first few movements of #5 are still among my forever favorites, although I don't know if that would be so if I hadn't first heard them in person.

I will have my little tape recorder handy next time I make it to a recital :-P
