Teehee!

BSG characters in the Simpsons style

Also, I STILL HATE THOSE COMMERCIALS because though it may well be that the company is family-owned, the designations "A FAMILY COMPANY" and "A FAMILY-OWNED COMPANY" are not equivalent. I maintain that the former is meaningless and obnoxious. JUST LIKE MY EXCESSIVE USE OF ALL-CAPS.

I always took "A FAMILY COMPANY" to mean- "we're more concerned about catering to a 5-year old consumer base than to an adult consumer-base. Come to us if you want to be patronised and treated as a child by our products and representatives; we know best." But that's just me.

Isn't that how many industries try to set things up?

Reckon, at least in the "we'll tell you what to buy, and then what you can or can't do with it" way, but unfortunately not in the "we'll feed you and give you clothes and stuff" way.

funny, I've always understood the meaning. I guess that's just one thing of the stuff I know, right?

Sometimes I think you are meaningless and obnoxious.

Why thank you, dear heart.

You're very welcome, loverboy.

Seems to me that the Genco Olive Oil Co. was 'family' owned but of course it probably wasn't advertised that way
