Not to be a pig, but I *love* our current black congresspeople. I haven't thought about why, but they are the only group that consistently stands their ground. Everybody else is just cowering.

i wanted to hug him years ago when i was watching Meet The Press and he was on with William Bennett (ugh) and kept dryly driving home the point that Mr. Bennett had self-appointed himself "The Nation's Czar Of Virtues". this was BEFORE Bennett's gambling addiction was public. Mr. Bennett had the deer-in-the-headlights look opposite Conyers.

Ugh. Uuuuugh. Don't even get me started on that Bennett motherfucker.

There should be some law of physics that dictates if John Conyers and Wm. Bennett are in the same room, Bennett just realizes his inherent worthlessness and just...melts.

Wow, you know I love that you are on my friend's list for so many reasons - and this is just one of them. I probably would have never run across this. Astounding...and horrifying...and...depressing, and yet hopeful, as there are people who have the balls to stand up against bullies....

Wow I'm so glad the the Repubs have stooped so low as to not even listen to differing opinions, its like the cranky kid in sandbox taking his toys and going home. WAH! How asinine.

I love what the guy at the end said. We're off lecturing and sending our men and women off to die to defend free speech and debate and we can't even pull it off here...
