Litterbox revisited

I had decided to keep the litterbox in the basement - the bathroom is kinda small and there just isn't room. I realize now that I may have to reconsider.

I was sitting on the toilet last night, and Joey jumped up into the sink. I had never seen her in the sink before. I thought she was going to curl up into a "cat in the sink" pose, but for once I was too optimistic. She squatted down, and I heard a stream of liquid hitting the sink.

So I guess that's how she feels about having her litterbox in the basement.

Really, though, what would you do it she pooped in there? Other than the Soft Scrub™ and Lysol™ combo?

Personally, I'd have a hard time brushing my teeth and washing up in the morning over the place where my cat shits. Even if toxic overly powerful cleaning products were involved. And what happens one morning when you're groggy, brushing your teeth, and suddenly look down at a giant cat turd under your nose? Then you need to clean the mirror, too!
