It chaps my ass that Rumsfeld isn't ever going to face any major consequences. Worst case - if that lawsuit in Germany is successful, he won't be able to enter any EU member nation ever again without risking arrest, but big fucking deal. I'll probably never go to the EU again either, boo hoo.
But as long as he stays here, he's fine, since he was pardoned by the President this month (if you missed that).
EDIT: no pardon, just what "amounts to" a pardon - this is what the immunity part of the Military Commissions act was about.
